Divi MadMenu v1.9: Introducing the Vertical Menu Module
Today I’m excited to announce the release of the Divi MadMenu v1.9! This update is different from previous ones because it introduces the brand new MadMenu Vertical Menu module allowing to create vertical navigations anywhere in a Divi layout.
Before this update Divi MadMenu used to be a single-module Divi extension, though each of the available elements of the MadMenu module could easily be a separate module on its own due to the amount of features provided for each.
But starting with the v1.9 there are two menu modules now, you can easily find the new MadMenu Vertical Menu module by searching for madmenu in the Divi Builder modules modal.
Features
Here are some of the features currently available in this module:
Assign different menus for desktop, tablet and phone
Collapse submenus with two styles available: Expand and Slide Right/Left
Keep collapsed submenus parent links clickable
Accordion mode for the collapsed submenus
Parent item customization options
Change the parent item arrow icon
Animate the parent item arrow icon (rotate or flip when toggling submenus)
Slide submenus header text: use the parent item text, custom text or no text at all
Change the Slide submenus header icons(the "Back" and "Home" icons)
Each menu element fully customizable(sizing, spacing, borders, colors, etc.)
Custom CSS fields available for additional customization possibilities for some elements (parent item, submenu header, etc.)
Use Cases
You can use the MadMenu Vertical Menu module just like any other Divi module.
Some of the places you might need to add a vertical navigation to are:
Vertical Slide-In Menu
Divi MadMenu allows creating Slide-In menus using the header popups feature, so, first you’ll need to create the Slide-In menu using the MadMenu module.
And then use the MadMenu Vertical Menu module to add the vertical navigation into it.
Fullscreen Menu
Similarly to the Vertical Slide-In menu above, you can create a Fullscreen menu and use the MadMenu Vertical Menu module to add a vertically aligned navigation into it.
Sidebar Menu
If you need an inline vertical menu in the sidebar, this new module is perfect for that as well.
Anywhere else on the page!
So, basically, using the MadMenu Vertical Menu module you can easily create vertical navigations anywhere in the page layout or theme builder template, for example, in the website footer
